AIM in the Dolomites

We have listened to your wishes, and AIM will be burning in the snow for the first time! We have prepared a stay for you in the Italian ski resort of Auronso & Misurina, located a short distance from the venue of the 2026 Winter Olympics. Where else should we light our blue AIM flame than where the Olympic torch will burn throughout February 2026?

Where?
Dolomity, Ski Area
Auronzo & Misurina
When?
February 27th – March 3rd 2026
There are two main reasons: the end of February and beginning of March were chosen primarily because of the most favorable weather conditions, when there is the greatest likelihood of blue skies and natural snow. We also expect fewer visitors overall, as the area attracts the most people during the Winter Olympics. In addition, we deliberately chose a weekend stay so that the children would not have to miss so much school, and since it is a quieter family ski resort, we do not have to worry about crowds on the slopes.
An experienced team of certified instructors (who speak Czech) will be waiting for your children, with a unique three-day program on the slopes that offers a spark that we cannot achieve at traditional Czech AIM camps due to natural conditions. And you can be the first to join us! However, it will not only be about the slopes, but also about new experiences, friendships, and unforgettable moments in the snow. PS: Of course, there will be a fighting games! However, it will be in a different form than we are used to in the summer!
This ski trip is not intended for complete beginners who have never skied before! In order for children to enjoy three full days on the slopes with us, they must be at least 10 years old (with a one-year tolerance upon prior agreement) and be able to ski down an easier red slope without any major problems. Experience on the slopes also means having all your ski equipment in order before departure. Registration is possible until December 10, 2025, or until capacity is reached.

Accommodation

Each of our Italian mornings will begin with a hearty breakfast at the Usignolo Hotel, where participants will be treated to a generous buffet. Then we will get ready for the slopes, but before that, our little skiers will have a proper warm-up. Once we are ready for the slopes, certified ski instructors will take over and provide the children with a program on the slopes. Once everyone’s calves are burning, it will be time to return to the hotel, where we will replenish our calorie deficit with a large dinner, where participants will be served a three-course menu that they can put together themselves according to their own taste preferences. This will be followed by relaxation and an evening program with AIM coaches, for which we will use the hotel’s common room with a data projector. A movie screening? A mini Italian disco? Everything will be there!

Why choose the Ski Area
Auronzo & Misurina?

It is a quieter ski resort, designed primarily for family skiing. This is linked to both the quality of the slopes and, above all, the more manageable number of visitors. Red difficulty slopes for intermediate to advanced skiers, wider slopes, and short waiting times at the ski lift turnstiles are simply something that no Czech ski resort could offer us. At the same time, compared to other Italian ski resorts, it is a smaller resort, offering a total of approximately 25 km of slopes, which is ideal for prepared ski lessons.

The Auronso & Misurina Ski Area is divided into two locations – Auronso is located near our accommodation and at a lower altitude, with the highest point comparable to Sněžka in Czechia. Misurina is about half an hour away by bus, as it is located on another mountain at a higher altitude of around 2300 m above sea level. Both locations include cable cars (in Auronso there is also a fast automatic four-seater cable car) and ski lifts. There is also a wide range of restaurants and ski equipment rental.

An added bonus is the beautiful view of the Tre Cime rock peaks, which adorn the surrounding area. The stable mountain climate also prevails here, giving skiing in azure weather that true Italian atmosphere.

Implementation team

In Italy, children can look forward to a coaching quartet consisting of two coaches from traditional Czech AIM camps and two experienced professional ski instructors. Nicole has been skiing since childhood, as has Eli, who also has Italian blood running through her veins and can therefore teach children the basics of Italian. As for the ski instructors, the main coach on the slopes will be Tom Kocián, who has extensive teaching experience on Czech and foreign slopes. He first competed in skiing for seven years before becoming an instructor. Over the years, with a license for general skiing, basic training A+, and advanced training for an unlimited period, he has led countless children’s groups and individual lessons. With Tom, children will have fun both on and off the slopes.
